All forms of hypnotherapy are in fact self-hypnosis and allow you to be gently guided towards positive goals and conclusions. During a hypnotic therapy session you will experience a state of deep relaxation, where your attention will be focused on my voice and the issues you have chosen to address. Contrary to popular belief, you will not be asleep, but will in fact be experiencing an enhanced state of awareness, which in turn will allow the promotion of healing and positive change deep within you.
Hypnotherapy is the induction of a trance like state either through self-hypnosis or under the guidance of a trained hypnotherapist.
You may not be aware that trance is in fact a naturally occurring state that everyone experiences regularly on a day to day basis. You are more than likely familiar with many of them; the driving trance, the exercise trance, the book reading trance, the meeting trance…to name but a few.
Hypnotherapy is subject to many misconceptions and contrary to popular belief does not create a state of deep sleep or one where you lose control of your actions or behaviors. More importantly hypnotherapy can in no way force you to do anything you are not comfortable with, but can create tremendous feelings of empowerment. During a hypnotherapy session you will actually be in an enhanced state of awareness and one where your attention is narrowed and focused on the subject matter you have chosen to explore. It is deep in your subconscious, that the most profound and enduring changes in beliefs and behaviors will occur.
Hypnotherapy can be used alone or in conjunction with NLP to help you achieve positive and profound changes for a range of issues such as; IBS, Weight loss, anxiety, stress, phobias, panic attacks, low self-esteem, chronic pain, confidence, insomnia and general health, wellbeing and healing.
